It is always around this time when I find myself shopping for my annual spring update of items. Along with a dress to wear on Easter morning, I look for fresh floral prints and a softer palette of colors to enhance my wardrobe. Spring is always the busiest time of the year for me, fully booked with weddings, baby showers, graduation parties and plenty of vacationing. So, I begin to stock up on versatile spring dresses, colorful new prints, and strappy sandals; things that can take me anywhere and transition in a moment's notice. Even though I prefer fashion in the cooler months, I'm beginning to love how easy and natural fashion can be during the springtime. Everything is much more relaxed and by no means as fussy - you can throw on a pair of distressed light-wash denim and a stripe t-shirt and still feel chic and stylish. Raleigh get's pretty humid, so I play a grand scavenger hunt each year for the very best of spring items.
A floral dress has always been a classic - it never goes out of style and they come in a plethora of colors; each unique like the woman who wears them. Every Easter, I purchase a new spring dress that can be reused over and over again for as long as I can fit into it. During my yearly hunt for spring goodies, I've come across gorgeous spring dresses that cover all bases. Bridal shower? Check. Evening out with the girlfriends? Check. Spontaneous vacationing in a tropical climate? Check. Here, I have handpicked a few of my favorites that I've seen out and about on my shopping excursions. I think they are the perfect way to welcome in the warmer weather and whatever your springtime schedule holds.
