It wasn't until college, while working for a small Raleigh boutique, that I really began to admire denim. The far back wall of the store was like a denim library; organized by designer and filed by fit or cut. In order to best serve our clients, we would try on every pair of jeans to understand the cut, silhouette, wash and feel. It was there that I was first introduced to AG jeans. When I tried on my very first pair, I felt like I had finally met my denim soulmate.

I have always loved shopping, but back in middle school denim shopping was my least favorite. Like every middle school girl, I felt awkward and disproportional; I never felt like I found a pair of jeans that truly fit me or flattered my body.  I have a long torso and short legs for my height, and remember standing in a jean puddle at American Eagle (yes, you read that right... I promise AE was cool back then). My petite ladies know exactly what I'm talking about. You look down to where your feet should be and it looks like you need to hem about a foot-long of denim for it to fit right. Even on my tippy toes, I looked like a little girl playing dress up in her mother's clothes.

I remember the very first pair of AG's I bought from workblack, straight, sateen finish, AG Stilts. Considering how many times I've worn them, I'm proud to say that they still remain on my shelf in one piece. That's right - no holes or tears. Ever since that first pair, I haven't purchased anything but AG. I'm confident in my size, I recognize the silhouettes that flatter my body, AND I have learned that their "ankle length" is the perfect full length for my petite legs (#petiteproblems am I right?!). AG feels like my denim brand.

I felt so honored when I was asked to partner with AG to show off their new spring arrivals. I simply love their denim. I love the way they wear and I feel comfortable and confident in their jeans. This high-rise pair is one of my favorites from the new spring collection. With a technique called laser fading, it looks like two different washes sewn together. It's vintage and trendy all at the same time, and I've received so many compliments when I wear them out! They're the perfect pair of novelty denim; AG-ed to perfection.
