Although my favorite time of year is autumn, I'm beginning to fall for summertime silhouettes. Shapes get more organic, looser and fuller - there's an ease to getting dressed. Fall is all about shape and contour and edge and tailoring, but summer lends you more freedom; shapes soften and silhouettes become more carefree.
This dress from Anthropologie has to be one of the most dramatic, shapeless dresses that I've purchased. The print is timeless, and the angled neckline and front box pleat adds structure. I love the neutrality of it. I've worn it with a long camel colored trench coat and ankle booties during the cooler months, and can't wait to wear it with a big hat and sandals when I take my next trip to the beach.
