Pink Striped Beach Maxi
Hello from Atlantic Beach! I took a week-long vacation with my family, including my favorite ten month old! I packed this fun striped maxi dress from Forever 21, and was so happy when the weather warmed up so I could wear it! It ended up being about 75 degrees everyday with cooler mornings, so the longer sleeve was perfect for the slight chill in the air. I sized up and purchased the medium, and I'm glad that I did! It fit smaller in the waist and in the shoulders.
I grew up vacationing at Atlantic Beach, so for those of you that may visit the area, or often vacation here too, I've made a list of some places to eat!
I remember years ago my sister and I would only order corndogs, but when I was older and my taste buds matured, my parents introduced me to their shrimp burgers - and I've never looked back. Fresh fried shrimp atop a simple bun and dressed with ketchup, slaw, hot sauce and tartar, they have the best shrimp burgers in NC, dare I say the world?!
2. Dank Burrito
Located on the mainland in Morehead City, Dank Burrito originated from a successful food truck that deserved a brick and mortar. Each time I go, I try a bit of whatever everyone else ordered, and there has NEVER been something I haven't liked. I personally order the Shrimp Teriyaki Bowl, if you would care for a recommendation. My sister orders the Asian Pulled Pork Tacos and I usually end up stealing a few bites of hers as well.
As soon as you drive onto the island, keep straight through the light and go around the round-about. Sitting beside the public beach access is a pretty little restaurant oasis called Idle Hour. From drinks to locally sourced foods, their menu is constantly evolving and one of the best restaurants on the island. During slower seasons their hours can be a bit indefinite - so call ahead before you go! I promise, it's well worth it. EVERYTHING is delicious.
