Parachute Dress

This dress blew me away in more ways than one. It's the fun pattern and playful detailing that lure you in but overshadow the risk...

Naturally, I was attracted to the exquisite detailing; the intricate pleating and frayed denim patches easily made it the most artistic dress I've worn. The one thing I took for granted was the parachute-like fabric. Similarly to an umbrella on a windy day, a light gust of air would come and would turn my dress inside out! Needless to say, I had to edit through several of these photos, but we had the best time shooting it and laughing hysterically as I shyly grabbed hold of as much fabric as I could as it swirled around my legs and head. I had told my sister, who is my photographer, that I wanted to capture the personality of the dress. I am pleased that these photos came out like they did - with a few minor edits. Unless I want a good laugh with some girlfriends, I think I'll be wearing this dress indoors from now on...
